First Move Online Chess is safe, fun and educational for your child. No "free chat" is permitted, or even possible. Children play each other, and also have a great time playing - and beating - the built-in computer opponent which starts out easy (but also can be set to play hard).
If your child is enrolled in an AF4C First Move Chess program through their school, then please contact their First Move teacher regarding Online Play.
Otherwise, you can register independently, as described below.
From the home screen, click "Register -> Parents" (or click here) and follow the prompts. Enter your child's name, and your email address. Your child's password will be sent to that address.
The first name is required - it is used to log in. For the last name, an initial is sufficient.
You will be sent to Paypal to pay the annual subscription fee of $10.00. You do not need to be a member of Paypal; they can just process your credit card. You will then be returned to this site and your child's registration will be completed. Multiple children should be registered individually. For more than three children, please contact us for group rates.
Your child can immediately log in and play chess.
